When I was younger, I tried a couple times to bake bread, the recipes leave a lot out, and the information was just not available, so my first efforts were a miserable failure. Same with pie crusts, and Pasta. It took me a while to realize that It was not that I did not have the skill to do such things, quite the contrary, It was that I lacked the knowledge,when I started working at a local Restaurant, it was then I began to learn these skills. In our increasingly fast food world, these skills are taught to our children less and less, resulting in a large population of cooking illiterates. It is my goal to provide information for basic cooking skills, and also more advanced cooking skills, and turn my visitors into cooking masters. While many of these tutorials may seem very basic to the seasoned cook, how many of us know people that just do not know how to cook, but either need out of financial necessity, or wish to learn how to cook.
